The APSC Combined Competitive Examination (CCE) Preliminary 2025 was successfully conducted by the Assam Public Service Commission (APSC) on 8 June 2025. Along with the General Studies Paper I, candidates appeared for General Studies Paper II (CSAT), which is a qualifying paper but plays a crucial role in determining eligibility for the Mains examination.
Although APSC GS Paper II (CSAT) does not contribute to the final Prelims merit list, candidates must secure at least 33% marks (66 out of 200) to qualify. Every year, several aspirants fail to clear the Preliminary Examination because they underestimate the importance of this paper.
